Welcome

May the peace and love of Jesus Christ be with you!

Welcome to my blog — a writing ministry with the sole purpose of sharing my ever-growing Catholic voice and helping to deepen my readers’ personal relationship with Christ. I named my blog Lost Sheep Found as a modern-day reference to the famous biblical parable because for many years after my initiation into the Catholic Church, I was that lost sheep that Jesus never gave up on.

I write candidly and unapologetically about life’s trials and triumphs from a faith perspective and share a message of strength, courage, and hope from a loving God who knows and calls each one of us by name. If you have ever sought purpose and meaning in your life as I have, then I hope my writing will resonate with you.  Come and journey with me on the path to His Kingdom!

The Great Escapade: A Taste of Freedom and A Bit of God’s Grace

As America celebrates her birthday and hard-won independence today, I wanted to reflect a little on the word ‘freedom.’  The Fourth of July this year is an odd one for the history books, one without live fireworks, large picnic gatherings, or even concerts.  Most of us for months now have lost the freedom to come …

About

Hi, I am Susan!

I am a Catholic convert. I came home to the Catholic Church on Easter 1998, but it was not until 2018 that my Catholic faith truly blossomed into a deep devotion for the divine life. You can read all about my conversion story here.

I have a love for the written word. In 2019, I felt a strong calling to contribute and reignite the Gospel message to the world.   Acting on the prompting of the Holy Spirit, this blog was born during the pandemic of 2020.

I am a catechetical leader and a teacher of the faith to young people in my parish. Outside of my ministry roles for the Church, I am also an entrepreneur. I have an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and currently completing a graduate degree in Ministry.

My greatest achievement this side of heaven, however, is my God-given role as wife and mother.

In my spare time, I love to read about the lives of the saints, go on solo hikes to seek solitude in nature, knock myself out on a challenging jigsaw puzzle, and seek out the next travel adventure or pilgrimage site.
